My practice integrates counselling expertise with research to assist individuals and couples using assisted reproduction to create their family.

I studied Psychology at Rhodes University (Grahamstown) and the University of South Africa (Pretoria) in South Africa. I completed my PhD at La Trobe University (Melbourne) which was a psycho-social and socio-legal study of relationships between Australian egg and sperm donors, recipients and donor-conceived children. This research has deepened my understanding of the many perspectives involved in donor conception.

I have worked clinically as a fertility counsellor in IVF settings in South Africa and in Australia and as a Donor Linking Counsellor with the Victorian Assisted Reproductive Treatment Authority (VARTA). This combination of clinical experience and research has allowed me to provide counselling that is informed by current evidence while remaining focused on each person's individual experience.

I believe fertility counselling is about helping people who would like help understand their options, consider the decisions ahead, strengthen relationships and feel supported through trying to conceive.
